It's the same as all modern Audi (last 5-6 years):
Select -> 17 Instruments -> Adaption -> Channel 02 -> New Value 0 -> Test -> Save.

This ones not the same.
Reseting channel 2 to 0 does not afect the service light, there are no faults with dash and when i paid Audi a large fee to do it they did it in about 2 mins.

Hi M-Tech,
As I'm not getting any help I may as well try to help others.
I hope this is relative to your A3, if not, please ignore.
Do you have 2 buttons on the dash display? ie. one on the left , to the lower right of the rev counter (let us call that button 1) AND, one to the right, to the lower left of the MPH/KPH display (let's call that button 2).
If so, press and hold button 2,
Switch ignition ON,
Release button 2,
The words "SERVICE" or SERVICE IN xxxx MI will appear in the trip meter,
Turn button 1 to the left to clear the display.
The words "SERVICE IN 10 000 MI" should appear in the trip meter
Now switch ignition off
