Default Immo 3 issues

Ok... So I put a used cluster in my dash to see if it worked as was indicated by the person who sold it to me.

I turned the key too far, and when I put my old (original) cluster back in, my car was locked down and would not start.

Is there some procedure I can follow if I get the SKC from the dealer?

Measuring blocks from instruments this AM:
22: 0,1,0,0
23: 0,0,0,6
24, 0,0,0,0

When I left it with them, it had 4 keys coded... now has none. ?

They don't have any clue on what to do and have had the car for 2 days now.

Default SKC

You will not get the SKC from a dealer. They cannot give it out anymore. You'll need to tow your car to them.

Default Do I need new keys? As far as I know all keys return 0 in field 3 of 22

not sure how this would happen, as all 4 keys are original to this cluster and Immo system

Default The only thing that should be required is readapting the keys to the immo, the SKC is not...

available or required, because the existing key transponders have already been matched to the Immo in the original cluster.
If that for some reason does not work in your situation, then hooking the car up to VAS scan tool, and the GEKO IMMO re adaptation server in Germany via the Internet, will reset and reconfigure the keys and Immo as needed to function properly. It's really incomprehensible to me that the dealership is not up to speed and experienced with this procedure, for a dealership, it's routine stuff.

Default They tried that, it's not happening.

Any thoughts as to what would keep that from working?

Default

Just to clarify, the online GEKO procedure is not successful?

Default I don't know.... that's part of the issue

it is throwing codes, they won't clear because I think they are not getting the cluster adapted correctly, it's not talking to other control modules from what I can tell...

Default Wow, what a mess.

Here is the MB labels for the blocks in your OP:
"022,0,Immobilizer I
022,1,Engine Start,permitted,Specification: 1 = Yes\nRange: 0 = No / 1 = Yes
022,2,Engine (ECU),responds,Specification: 1 = Yes\nRange: 0 = No / 1 = Yes
022,3,Key Status,,Specification: 1 = Key OK\nRange: 0 = Key not OK / 1 = Key OK
022,4,Number of,adapted Keys,Specification: 1...8
;
023,0,Immobilizer II
023,1,Variable Code,authorized,Specification: 1 = Yes\nRange: 0 = No / 1 = Yes
023,2,Key Status,(Transponder),Range: 0 = not locked / 1 = locked
023,3,Fixed Code,authorized,Specification: 1 = Yes\nRange: 0 = No / 1 = Yes
023,4,Immobilizer,Status,Specification: 6 (Immobilizer adapted)
; 4 - New Customer Service / Delivery Condition (Replacement Instrument Cluster)
; 5 - Customer Service locked / Adaptation Data Programmed in Customer Service
; 6 - Immobilizer adapted / Normal Function Condition
; 7 - Key Adaptation active
;
024,0,Immobilizer III
024,1,Lock-Time,Instrument Cluster
024,2,Lock-Time,Engine (ECU)
024,3,Lock-Time,Emergency Unlock
024,4,Lock-Time,Transponder"

Notice that the block 23, field 4, is "6" for "Immobilizer adapted / Normal Function Condition" and MB 22, ECU responds.

It's seems like one of the harness connectors at the IC is not conntected fully, If that is the case it's the one with the CAN buss terminals. Nothing on the Comfort CAN buss or the Infotainment CAN buss can communicate with the IC/Immo. Several controllers on the Power Train CAN buss can't communicate with the IC/Immo either, IE the Steering Column Control Module.
Has the harness connnectors been examined for proper engagement into the IC?

Default I know... but since the cluster, which is the CAN gateway, isn't talking to a lot of the modules

including the steering column electronics... which is where the transponder pick up ring is.... we have failure to start.

I would like to know how or what would cause the cluster to not be able to communicate with those modules, if there is some lost coding somewhere that would make this happen...
