Just looking for a little clarification...I have a Hex-Com Dual K, Rev. B cable and
just downloaded rev 512.4 ( I think that's current). I haven't tried anything yet (my car is 2000 A4 sedan 1.8L) but from what I understand I should be ok.
My question is for my friend. He has a brand new Passat, 2005+ I guess. From what I read my cable/code will NOT work for his car. Correct? Or just in a limited fashion due to the non "CAN" ability of my cable.

To clarify, check this link. A HEX-COM will not work with a B6/3C Passat - you need a HEX+CAN.
