Labels
I'm a little confused on how labels work in the Vag. I get that you have to make a file and then rename it to Test-XX.LBL but there also is a list of labels made for you. How do you tell which label you need to rename to Test-01.lbl for your engine labels?? I have a 2001.5 1.8t fwd. TIA

You don't HAVE to make a file called TEST-01. If there's no existing label file for your ECU, you can name one using your ECU's part number. The fact that a file named TEST-xx.LBL takes precedence is simply to allow you to override existing files without getting all confused renaming them.
What you want to start with is a label file for an ME7 1.8T. Try 06A-906-032.LBL. Make a copy and name give ut your ECU's part number as a name(or TEST-01). Scroll through all the blocks and see what makes sense. If anything doesn't, fix it..:-) Click on the link below for a "universal" reference. Most ME7 1.8T's are extremely similar in the measuing blocks, at least up to around 190 or so.
