Default NAV default

So I press NAV for my navigation and the page to enter destination opens up by default. How can I make it default to the map? I rarely use the destination, just need to map when I need an escape route. Is there a Vag Com coding that I can modify for this to happen?

Let me know!

Not that I've seen.

I think you can press the NAV button twice to get to the map.
Vaguely remember doing that on the D3 for the same reason.

I just checked that on my 2012 and it does not work.

What works for me is to use the press to talk switch on the steering wheel and ask for "navigation". 99% of the time it will go directly to the map. On the occasion or two when it doesn't, after saying "navigation" it will go to the destination screen, but will keep the voice channel open. If it goes to the destination screen, I then say "map" (without pressing the button again since it's still open) and it goes to the map. Seems like the only time it goes to the destination screen is if I had opened the destination screen last. If the map screen is last, then it will always go directly to map.
Short of a vag fix that's the best I've come up with. Hope it helps.
