Default Need to replace my airbag control module - 2001.5 S4 (B5, Tip)

Airbag light is on & can't clear it, VAG-COM shows:

Address 15: Airbags
Part No: 8D0 959 655 E
Component: Airbag Front+Kopf 1002
Coding: 00304
Shop #: WSC 06435

1 Fault Found:
65535 - Internal Control Module Memory Error
00-10 - - - Intermittent

I don't know why it's <b>"8D0 959 655 E"</b>,
all my searches indicate <b>"8D0 959 655 G"</b> as THE controller for the B5 S4. A parts supplier told me he only had the "G" controller for the S4, or <b>"8D0 959 655 K"</b> from an A4.

Assuming I use VAG-COM to re-code to my original settings....
will both <b>"8D0 959 655 G"</b> and <b>"8D0 959 655 K"</b> be suitable replacements for my <b>"8D0 959 655 E"</b> ???

thanks!

8D0959655E has been replaced by 8D0959655F, looks like E and F have been in euro-spec models only!

Default I'm in the USA, can I use K or G?

The VAG-COM scan told me I had the "E" module.

thanks for your advice

Default No, I wouldn't put in a K/G module if it wasn't really supposed to be there.

In principle, take an E/F since this is what surely fit's fine. I will do some more research on this topic, but might take a day or two.
