Default Need some Vag/Vista help...

I've read through a lot of old threads and have downloaded a couple different drivers, and installed/uninstalled every version of VagCom multiple times with no luck. I've had it connect to my Audis a couple times briefly before locking up so...can someone tell me exactly the order to install and what version of Vag to use. When you run the install file and it asks if you want to setup the USB driver now...yes? no? have the USB plugged in when installing? Ect. Etc...

I have Vista Home on my Toshiba Satellite Laptop and cheap USB cable from eBay...thanks in advance for the help!

Default Wow, that doesn't help at all...

...I've read all those FAQ's and doesn't help. I was just hoping for a quick step by step install on Vista...with the right drivers, etc...

Default Maybe you should ask the supplier of your "cheap USB cable" for help?

After all, he's the one responsible for supplying drivers for his hardware. The drivers we supply for our hardware DO work with Vista, both 32-bit and 64-bit.

Default Download Virtual PC

I have been running the old VAG COM on my new Vista laptop through Virtual PC. It is a free download from Microsoft....make a minimum configured XP virtual PC, install VAG COM, and map the serial port to it.
