Default Is it possible to add or delete control modules?

I'm building a B5 race car. Open Class. Can I delete control modules from the system? I would like to remove the ABS, air bag and comfort system modules. Is this possible?

Thanks, Mike

You can completely unplug them, but will end up with DTC's (diagnostic trouble codes as a result). Either desolder the ABS, BRAKE, and AIRBAG bulbs on the gauges, or just cover them with tape on the backside so they aren't illuminated. Any codes thrown in the ecu as a result can simply be coded out by someone who can do ecu tuning.

Thanks for the response. I had 034Motorsport re-flash the ECU and supposedly remove those devices. I have also stripped the harness and know which wires turn on the idiot lights. I am most concerned about the dash cluster looking for these modules and throwing it into limp mode. The data link and CAN connections will not be present from the ECU-Cluster.

If the limp is controlled by the ECU only, I think I'm OK.
