Weird thing is that central convenience drop down window was empty and didn't show vehicle as Q5?! Is there reason for this or can I safely change it to Q5?

Back to lights,

Right now I have red rear turning signals and I prefer ROW amber, is it possible to be VAG-COMed and how? also I'm looking setup for light switch:

0 = off.
auto = front / rear led, no dash lights OR front HID / rear led and dash lights on depending ambient light (as the way auto should work).
>< = front / rear parking lights(side markers?) and dash.
on = front HID and rear led and dash.

If you want other info then please point where I should look at.

Thanks,
Mike

nobody will give you exact answer for this.you should go to service station of your car and ask them about the code for rear lights used with DRLs.

Mike/kleinbus, please post a complete Auto-Scan from the vehicle in question. We are currently doing circles here as long as we don't have all necessary information from the vehicle in question.

coolworld, mind enlightening me why you think there will be no answer for this question?!

Few words for coolworld,
I would gladly buy few beers for enthusiast VW/Audi mechanic if I could find one but so far guys at 2 dealers relatively nearby (radius 25 to 60 miles) haven’t had idea what I’m talking about.
Anyways long story short, ex Tiguan problem solved after two months going back and forth.

Thanks for the scan. It seems you are currently using Release 805.1 with your Q5, I suggest you update to at least Release 805.3 but in combination with the Q5 it would be better you switch to Beta 812.4 instead since that has a better coverage for this model.

Based on your original coding from your scan please try 26009091063CAF000000080300001D0D0F1C46080001016100 0000 as new coding for the central electronics control module, this should have the desired effect.

Thanks I owe you beer

With beta I'm able to see the functions as seen on previous page post.

Rear lights comes on as wanted.

Rest of the testing I have to continue another day as it was too dark to see if auto uses leds or hids depending ambient or just led/hid combination all the time.

Though, did I misunderstood the meaning of Audi's AUTO position in driving light switch? On VW and other brands it means DRL is on if driven under noon bright sunlight and it will automatically switch to normal driving lights at tunnel or no sunlight environment (also enable home coming / leaving function).

Now when I'm getting warmed up I have more questions. On Tiguan I were able to fiddle these setting but I were unable to find it from Audi...

I wanna turn off rear wiper sync when front wiper is on and I use reverse.

So far,

0 = off
auto = off or drl+side+hid+rear+dash depending ambient
>< = drl+side+rear+dash
on = drl+side+hid+rear+dash

and it buggs me as in Europe I were able to have auto to use DRL or normal dirving lights depending ambient.

Where is the trick? Is it switch or bits?
