Default Resetting all engine adaptations to default

Are some of the ECU adaptation settings actually learned values? If I reset them all to factory default, could I risk ruining my controller? (my car has a GIAC chip). How do I make auto-scan scan for adaptation channels within a controller, I only see an option to scan for controllers in my VCDS.

Default Storing 000 in adaptation channel 00 should reset all adaptations both static and learned, to ....

to the factory defaults. Resetting can't damage the ECU.
