Solenoid short to plus code
I just ran VAG-com for the first time and picked up this code:
Control Module Part Number: 8E0 910 560 A
Component and/or Version: 4.2L V8/5V G 0020
Software Coding: 0007711
Work Shop Code: WSC 08174
1 Fault Found:
17983 - Right Engine Mount Solenoid Valve (N145): Short to Plus
P1575 - 001 - Upper Limit Exceeded
Can anybody help me figure out if this is a big deal? I just bought my 04 S4 CPOd a month ago and assumed the dealer would have corrected any codes, but it looks like they didnt see this one.
Thanks in advance

Not a critical problem, but....
as long as the fault condition that set the DTC exists, the ECU cannot change the stiffness of the engine mount affected, as determined by the various situations that the adjustable stiffness addresses to minimize vibration.
It's either a circuit fault in the wiring harness connected to the solinoid valve, or the solinoid valve itself is faulty. The solinoid valve is connected to +BATT via a relay, constantly. The ECU, turns the solinoid valve on or off, (open or closed,) by switching the connection to ground for the solinoid coil, thus turning ON current flow thru the valve coil, or alternativly, turning the coil OFF by opening the connection to ground for the coil winding in the valve.

I have 2012 audi S5 automatic. On cold start I get the engine light come on. I used my OBD ELEVEN PRO and get this code. I can clear it and the car runs all day no problem. Next day on cold start the engine light returns. If I do nothing it sometimes goes off. Other times I clear it and were back to normal operations. What going on? Help!!!
