Default HELP Q5 HYBRID BATTERY MODULE REST

hello I need to find someone who can reset the hybrid battery on a 2013 q5..the vehicle was hit in the rear and the dealer wants 9000 for a complete battery

I'd be very very leery of doing this as it is likely a safety feature.
Same reason we never re-use or 'reset' airbags.

Dude this is not a dealer conspiracy, it's to prevent you from catching on fire later on (and then probably suing Audi over it).

It's a lithium ion battery and if subject to shock, regardless of whether or not the accident touched the battery itself, it is likely unsafe. It's probably cheaper to replace and have the factory recycle/refurbish the battery than for Audi to send a battery technician out to inspect your battery.

And yeah, batteries aren't cheap...

Considering that there's $9000 of battery damage involved in this, and it's a rear ending (which almost certainly means the other party is at fault), why didn't you involve the insurance?
