Default Stupid Fookin' user can't seem to get the right driver for his XP Pro SP2/Dell D630 Latitude

I got a generic translucent blue USB-to-OBDII cable from a friend of mine and a zip drive with all the software he swears he used but the cable is still unrecognized in the device manager after using both he had on the drive.

Also on the drive and installed for software assuming I get that far is VAG-COM Release 409-1.

Suggestions?

Default Check the link I gave you and other than that you may wanna stop being so insulting... *grr*

2) Questions about design and construction of home-made interfaces are Off-Topic, as are connection problems if you're using a home-made interface or a 3rd party interface.

Default ummmm, please go away you have already proved your worthlessness

so has this forum for that matter.

What the hell. Reminds me of a lot of really bad things and the way they go about their business.

Default Wow, what an insulting idiot

Expects someone to support something that they don't even make or support AND insults them in the process of their polite explanation.

Default So this forum is a paid service? Is that what you are telling me?

This should be to share knowledge regardless.

I'ma hafta say you need to brush up on your reading comprehension as I didn't ask for anything illegal or support for something out of the ordinary. But that would be asking a lot from a bot.

I figured it out BTW no thanks to anyone around here. But again these 2 bots keep responding to this post but I've got over a dozen emails from humans that can decipher the text while the bots keep posting nonsense to this thread.

Default No.. you're not paying attention

The people (not bots) at Ross Tech are very helpful and very knowledgeable about THEIR product. You're asking them to support something they don't make. The don't supply drivers for third party hardware. Their software doesn't support third part dongles or adapters.

Maybe Geek Squad is more your speed.
