I updated to version 805, and still no luck connecting with the ABS controller. Would ABS still function normally if the control module was dead or dying?<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/vag/msgs/16234.phtml">Original post</a></li></ul>

I might qualify as anyone!
I'm not the most technical at Ross-Tech but I have heard of this before. (my role is the operations manager so I deal with sales and other stuff and am not in the technical trenches on a daily basis so take anything I say with the knowledge that I may not be well versed on your car.)
We have heard of cases where the ABS seems to function fine but just will not communicate. Have you tried pulling the fuse to the ABS, then waiting a few minutes to let all the electronics power completely down, then re-inserting the fuse to see if the module recovers and will then talk?
Outside of that, I don't know any other tricks to help you.
