Default VAG-COM ERRORS

I have been observing this vehicle for the past couple of days. Yesterday I drove the car to work let it sit for twelve hours (checking it periodically) and there was no movement. Went to movies and dinner, arriving back home around eleven and still no problem. This morning around five the left rear tire was down, pretty much under the wheel well, I could not get the car to lift so I guess it lowered the passenger rear to compansate. After arriving at work both rear tires where down, and the minute I shut the car off and shut the door both rear tires are raised.

The past two days there has not been any movement form my suspension, I still get the yellow suspension light sometimes, but it does go away.

Those are the same faults I had when my compressor was dying. Interestingly mine also said leak detected, but has not reported that since I replaced the compressor. I guess the leak was in the compressor.

Did you clear the codes and how long to come back? Mine came back immediately.

You might consider Bagpipingandy's rebuild kit (~$30) and ask if he'll send a compressor temp sensor along, too; he had some used ones laying around. Although I guess if you fix the pump it won't run as long and that'll cure the overtemp fault code from recurring.

I found it hard to believe that its a leak, because the problem is intermittent. It does not have the same leak rate day to day. I have went 24 hours with no sign of leakage and some day I have seen it bottom out within four hours. I am leaning towards the first fault code that was detected.

Now I need to know how to trouble shoot it.
