Weird time and date display after changing KM to Miles

The time and date display doesn't properly display after changing the 2000 A6 2.7T from KM to Miles (Canada based car). It happened as well when I tried it on a 2002 S4 when I changed it from Miles to KM (US based car)

Some of the digits on the clock&date don't remotely look like numbers.

Known issue, seen that before. Seems to be either a firmware issue or...

...it's intention by the firmware programmer.
