Default 2004 A6 2.7T quattro VAST upgrades RS6 turbos! $4,000

If interested, you are going to want to read all the below:

I say it is a "project car" because if you buy it then you will have a small project, but it has already had a lot of work done to it. This car was my daily driver for a long time, but for the past 3 years has been driven 1 day per week or so as my wife and I carpool so the hybrid wins via the gas consumption.

Here is what is wrong:
1) The big one - Needs a new rack & pinion. I've had a couple shops look at it and they agree, new rack. I'm out of the "work on the car in the driveway" game, so this was the time to go moment for me.
2) It has a boost leak. You can feel it when the boost starts to come on, hear the air and everything goes rich and stumbly. If you ease on the gas and get low boost levels then it works just fine. Just make a pressure tester and change out whatever rubber it needs, I'm guessing driver's side intercooler hoses.
3) Some of the clear coat is starting to go on the roof, don't know if "you can buff that out" or not, but it is there.
4) My wife backed up into a minivan, placing some scratches on the bumper and cracking the passenger tail light. It still works.
5) Some doofus backed into the front bumper in a parking lot, also made a couple little marks.
6) Someone scratched the hood, about 2-3" long scratch, You can sort of see it in the pics I took, about 25% up the hood on the driver side up from the headlight, one little white mark.
7) When APR did some repairs they said it also needed new brakes. They did the job but did not hook up the brake sensors.. I neglected to return and now Doug is gone and they only do installs of their products so the light just stays on. They said it was just a wire, but maybe they installed the pads without sensors.
8) It was rough at initial start up on very cold days. I might have already fixed this issue with new coil packs and plugs, won't know until this winter. It would crank and then stumble just a bit, but drive fine. All stumbling goes away about 1/2 block down the road. This only happened maybe a dozen times throughout the winter. Literally a 1 minute issue when it did it.

This car belonged to Matt Osmoe, he did all the prior work to it. Garage - A6 by mosmoe (OPG) | AudiWorld.com

It is a 2004 Audi A6 2.7T quattro, VAST upgraded with: RS6 turbo's, rs4 trans mounts, DTS, stern engine mounts, Vast snub mount, high flow efk, S4 front brakes, Vast tune, 52lb inj @ 4bar, 255 fuel pump, new MAF, new coil packs, bilstein/H&R suspension, APR installed lightweight flywheel & stage 4 clutch.

It came to me with 17" wheels, I upgraded to 18" gunmetal something or another from TireRack (see pics). I'll toss in the original 17 wheels (no rubber) to whoever buys it if you want them.
Has a trailer hitch installed.
Comes with carpet & all-weather rubber floor mats.
It has Huper optik ceramic tint all the way around, including very light on the windshield. This stuff makes a huge difference, the car stays way cooler in the searing heat!
This spring I installed new plugs and OEM FSI coil packs (wiring upgrade was already done) from ECS tuning.

About 3 years ago APR re-did the front suspension with new tie rod ends, ball joints, control arms and all that, new brakes, a new lightweight flywheel and stage 4 clutch, also a new subframe. That $3,000+ bill was the result of the road crew removing some asphalt to re-pave and left the man-hole elevated, no cones. Someone parked on the street next to it and my wife went around the car, centered the manhole cover & bam! No other damage but it did destroy an under-body brace that was previously installed, I didn't replace that aftermarket cross brace.

This car IS drivable, the rack has been leaking a little for the past year but now it is just shot. I fill the reservoir and can drive it to/from work 2-3 times before it is empty again. You can tow it or drive it back, just bring a bottle of PS fluid!
Put a new/rebuilt rack & a little TLC into it and you'll have a GREAT car. Matt went through and did all the major work, gaskets, seals etc around 90k miles IIRC, it now has 140k.

Did I mention it is a 6sp manual? Yep, no slushbox.. just pure driving fun.

Title in hand.
I need it gone ASAP, so the first $4000 gets it before the neighborhood association hassles me for parking it in the street.
