The ONLY C6 (A6) avant 5.2 are available in Europe (I.e. RS6 avant) and not in the NA market. Since you have asked for the 08-12 years, you have the choice of the 3.2 V6 or the 3.0T (much preferred) engine variant, which was available in the latter years.

Within the last year two had shown up on ebay, one had quite a bit of miles on it. Both being 2009 S6 Avant prestige. Both were white. Both 5.2. They were also on auto trader listed. I am certain these were not imports from Europe.

And do you believe everything is legit that is sold on ebay? There are no S6 Avant 5.2 (C6 model) here in the US. Could it be done...sure, but not without a LOT of $$ or a lot of illegal dealings.

The 5.2 S6 Avant was never registered for use within the NA market, hence does not have EPA and DOT designations, nor does it meet the 25 year limitation to waive those.

Please share with us the listings you found on ebay, since you link to SOLD items and would be interested in what the heck you are talking about. I may not be an expert on the matter, but I know the C6 model very well and this is beyond unicorn level of rarity here in the US.

I think you have mistook the 3.2 with the 5.2...if you have evidence of what you state (i.e. 2009 S6 Avant prestige 5.2 engine), please share the links.
