Hi everyone, this is my first post on any of these forums so I'm hoping I could get some help.

So basically, I am looking for a first car to buy for under 5k (there's a little wiggle room if it is worth it). I was looking into the B5/B6 A3 and A4 hatchback/wagons or a C6 allroad.

Are there any problems to look for in those cars? Are there any other options that are similar to these cars from other makers that would be a good option? Is the twin turbo V6 in the allroad worth the fuel economy?

I need a wagon or hatchback for the practicality of them, I also just like the looks. I will probably end up doing a Stage 2 tune from APR and maybe air bags and other little aesthetic mods but nothing too crazy like widebody or anything.
