Hello.

I live in California, and I'm interested in importing a car from Europe that was never sold here. Specifically, I want to buy a B8 Avant with a manual transmission.

Does anyone know anything about doing this? For example, is there a chance that this would be a relatively easy process because it is simply a car that is available here but has a different transmission? Also, does anyone know of any importers whom I can contact? I'm having a hard time finding one.

There are alot of companies who can do that. Most of them buy cheap cars from here and sell the in Europe for more money... But they can do the reverse thing too.
I know somebody who exports and imports cars for Bulgaria, but most likely I think you should fin d car from Germany so it will not be that hard to find a car.

I suggest you find your car in mobile.de ? Gebrauchtwagen und neue Autos ? Deutschlands größter Fahrzeugmarkt. and contact the dealer for furder actions

Once you learn the cost of doing this, you'll quickly forget about it.

You need to go to the NHTSA site and search for the list of RI (registered importers).
