Default 2015 A3 offset question

I have a 2015 A3Q w/stock 17" x 7.5" ET43 wheels. I'm thinking about ordering a set of 18" x 7.5" ET54 wheels, but I'm unclear as to fitment of higher offset wheels. It seems that the the 43mm offset (and thus wheel location (brake clearance, appearance, etc.) in wheel well) can be restored with a spacer, but I'd like to confirm or deny that and to ask for any feedback about other possible issues with that scenario. Also, if spacers are a good solution: recommendations? TIA!

Nearly all the 18x8 wheels we guarantee to fit are ET45 to ET48 (depending on wheel specs). I'd rather you get a wheel that fits without a spacer to be sure.

Thanks. These are a specific set of used wheels that I want to order, so I was interested in the logistics and possible performance issues of making them work.
