Some say 225/40 is a safe bet....but I'd like to know if I can go 235/40. Thanks,

Default I did that dimension on my B5 A4 w/ rolled fenders and I was fine.

The car was moderately lowered and I never had rubbing. And this was on BBS CHs which were 18x8.5, ET35 and Bridgestone S03 PPs.

Default I just ordered some OZ UL's 18x8 from tirerack and got 235/40/18 Sum-HRT+ tires

I'm putting them on my B5 S4... my car is lowered and I have rolled front fenders. I will let you know how it goes but I'm not worried about rubbing issues. Just putting more rubber on the ground =)
