Default Best tire for 2008 Audi A6 Quattro 3.2

Hi,
I need to buy two new tires for my 2008 Audi A6 Quattro 3.2.

I currently have Pirelli P6 Four Season tires and two of them are completely worn down.

I drive very little - less than 5000 miles per year, mostly short trips around town. This is our family car (2 small kids). Looking for performance and longer wear and tear. I was looking at the Pirelli P Zero Nero All Season and the Continental ExtremeContact DWS06.

Please let me know any feedback on which of these are better - or if there is another tire that you recommend in this price point.

Thanks!

Get the DWS they're a solid tire and good performer in a variety of elements.

Michelin Pilot Sport A/S3's are great all weather tires, if you are willing to give up a little ride quality. They handle exceptionally well. If you don't need the all weather characteristics, consider the Michelin Pilot Sport PS3's..

You won't realize the benefit of a "better" tire if you're only replacing two. We'd recommend matching the Pirelli model you have or doing four of something else, as mixing tread designs and rubber compounds will cause handing issues (especially in wet conditions)

I would also replace all four tires instead of only two for maximum grip and performance. You can't go wrong with michelin and conti tires.

Got about 600 miles on my Conti DSW 06 tires, and really liked them. Ride smooth, and handle very well.

Like everyone else is saying, pony up a few hundreds extra and get a set of 4.

I just replaced one continental procontact on my A6. I'm sticking with them on my 18" wheels. I do not mind their soft ride or response, especially after I found them to outperform the all weather eagle gt's in wet stopping and ultimate lateral grip on my previous car. I already had a brand new one in the spare spot. So, I'll put the two new ones up front, rotate the rest, & ride them through this winter.
It's kinda funny, because I'm upgrading the shocks and rear bar to improve the "feel" and reduce the understeer on this car.
However, I'll be the first to admit that I'll probably get a set of DWS-06's, when these are no longer available. These are an old design.
