Default Do all 4 tires need to be the same?

My 2 front tires have worn out totally due to an alignment issue, but my back ones have plenty of thread, I'm wanting to buy a different manufacturer for the front. The back ones will remain, until all of the tires wear out and then I will replace all 4. Is this fine to do?

Thanks

Default you want the max difference between the tires to be 5/32" or less.

Also, I don't recommend running different models front and rear.. They will wear at different rates, and you'll also have different levels of grip which can cause imbalance in the car. This is especially an issue if you ever drive in a spirited manner.

IMO, just pony up and get 4 new tires when you have the car aligned.
