Gary@tirerack (or anyone): Conti DWS06?
I've liked my Conti ExtremeContact DWS tires for a while now, but I've heard the new DWS06 are even better. Thoughts from anyone on that? I welcome better performance but hope they are not stiffer as a result. I like their comfort/performance balance.
My question for Gary is whether tirerack is carrying the new model yet. I'll need a set very soon in a 20" inch size for an A6. The tirerack website says my size is in stock but I can't tell if they are the new or old version. Any info you can share on that? Thanks in advance.

We still have not seen any of these tires yet, but from what we know so far dry handling and steering response should be better than the old tire while maintaining the high snow traction ratings that made the original so popular. I doubt that many 20" sizes will make the late May release ETA, those tend to come later. Post the size and I'd be happy to see if we have any info.

Thanks, Gary. I suspected that 20" would not be an early priority (my size would be 255/35-20), and indeed I just got an email back from Conti: "Please note, the size 255/35-20 will be manufacture in May and should be available in July or sooner."

The pricing looks great! They are cheaper than replacing my DWS rubber. Will be in the market in August.
