Default need help with wheel spacer

Ok, so I got a newer set of wheels: ALY58851 Audi A6 10 spoke wheel, Bolt Pattern: 112mm Offset: 48mm Audi Part Number: 4F0601025CP with tires 245/40 r 18 Conti's.
My OEM wheel was ET43, with 235/40R18 tires.
I Installed one wheel on the front and it is rubbing.
My question is what wheel spacer size I need:
- 5 mm the difference of offset, or
-10 mm too make up for the wider tire?
thanks

I suspect that 5mm will work as it will push your offset to 48. You might post this on the A6 forum as there will be people there with experience.

Where is it rubbing? To the knuckle? Tire or rim? How wide are old rims?

The tire is rubbing on the knuckle
The old rims were 8" wide.

I would suggest 10 mm spacer to allow for some tire deformation.
