Questions for any of you who have gone from 17s to 18s or 19s
My question is how was the handling or road "feel" changed?
I ask because I would like to change the stock twin spoke 17s on my allroad to some 18s for my non-winter driving. A typical 18" wheel is about 30lbs. and the tire is the same so about 60lbs total per wheel. The stock 17" twin spoke is about 30lbs. and the tire is about 25lbs. so about 55lbs total.
So a typical 18" is 5lbs heavier. unless I go with OZs or something, then I could get into the sub-50s but, I just can't justify the expence.
I imagine the weight differance would/could be felt in acceleration and bumps like pot holes. Any other differances?
So how about it? Some real life seat of the pants experiances would be appreciated

I'm actually wanting to go *down* to 17s. wanna just trade?
heheh...but then again, I don't want your 30# chunkers!!
fYI, my Enkei 18x8 are 22# and cost me $125 new, so affordable options are out there.
