I have a stock 09 a4 Quattro. I recently just purchased 18.8 wheels with a 35 offset. I'm trying to figure out the perfect size tire. the 245/40/18 looks to beefy. I was considering the 225/40/18 because it has the more sleek look with a little bit of stretch. Really am stuck between the 225/40 and the 235/40. I still want a sleek look but also some protection for my wheel. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

225/40R18 is a bit too short in height and load capacity. Stick with 235/40R18.

wont that aspect ratio look beefy? I don't want to look like a truck tire

The issue is what is correct not looks. Load rating is important. As is having the correct outside diameter of the new tires.

If you are worried about the look then go with a larger rim say 19" which will allow for a smaller aspect ratio.

If you go on the Tire Rack website and put in the info for your model car and wheel size it will tell you the alternate size tires you can use.

Unless the 18s I just bought grow an in over night I'm sticking with em, I'll go with the 235/40, and thank you very much for your advice, it's greatly appricated
