1. Engine

The new RS3 sedan has a five-cylinder, turbocharged 2.5-liter engine that cranks out 400 hp. The RS3's engine will also have a new aluminum block and be 25 kilos lighter because of its aluminum makeup. The RS3 was also designed with sound engineering in mind for the engine.

2. Transmission

There's no manual option for the new RS3, but it's got Audi's S Tronic that sends aggressive power to all four wheels. The RS3's seven-speed, dual-clutch automatic transmission powers it up to reach 62 mph in just 4.1 seconds. Its top speed is reported to be 174 mph "by request," and the 155 mph mark is the low end.

3. Wheels and Brakes

With all that power under the hood, it's just in good taste that the RS3's braking system features 14.6-inch rotors fitted with eight-piston calipers and optional carbon ceramic discs on the front axle. The standard wheels measure in at 235/55, but 255/30 for 19-inch wheels is an option.

4. Interior

Take a peak at the interior of the RS3 and you'll find virtual cockpit gauges with a centrally-located tachometer. Its digital dashboard is sportier than ever for the model. Driver and passengers alike will sink into the leather seats adorned with the RS logo. Sport seats are also optional.
