A Decade of V10
Actually, according to Audi, Decennium comes from Latin, meaning “decade”; standing for ten years of the R8 V10 being on the road. The Beast
The defining characteristics of the V10 unit come from motorsport, including the high-rev concept up to 8,700 rpm and the dry sump lubrication that permits a low installation position. When the R8 V10 launched in 2009, the naturally aspirated engine had a displacement of 5.2-liters, direct injection and a maximum output of 525 HP. For 2020, the naturally aspirated V10 bumps power to 620 horses, and maximum torque of 427.8 lb-ft, catapulting Decennium from 0 to 62.1 mph in 3.1 seconds. The R8 V10 tops out at a speed of 205.7 mph.

Matte or flat
The Decennium special model coincides with the release of the latest R8, showcasing a sharper design with a premium look. The Decennium coupé above is painted in an exclusive "Daytona Gray" flat (matte) effect. Other exterior color choices include Daytona Gray, pearl effect; Suzuka Gray, metallic; Floret Silver, metallic; Mythos Black, metallic; Ascari Blue, metallic and Kemora Gray, metallic.
