Tuner Preview: Boulder Audi Tuning

From time to time AudiWorld receives word about a new Audi tuning company. When I heard from Jake Ertle of Boulder Audi Tuning late last year I was particularly interested. Having lived in Boulder for over seven years as both a student an full-time resident, I was always amazed by the sheer number of Audis in the Boulder area. Indeed, as some folks might remember, it was at the intersection of Pearl and 20th streets where I saw the A4 for the first time in 1996. In 1997 I took delivery of my very first Audi -- a Cactus Green A4 2.8 -- from Stammler Audi. And a little website by the name of JET's A4 Pages was born back in those days . . . but I digress. When I moved away from Boulder in 1998 there was not an Audi performance/tuning shop. But things have changed.

Founded in May of 1999, Boulder Audi Tuning is dedicated to providing customers the highest level of performance and creating an exciting approach to Audi tuning. Working in partnership with RevSport of Colorado Springs, BAT currently provides tuning programs for the Audi A4, S4 and A6. As with most tuners, BAT has a close relationship with the local dealers so that warranty compliance issues are not a problem.

Unfortunately I was not able to visit BAT in order to prepare this article. However, here is a peak at two of the project cars they've been working on in recent months.
