Audi logo service for mobile phone users

Text from the Audi AG press release

AudiWorld note: This service does not seem to be available to US customers at this time.

Audi is now offering a logo service on the Internet for mobile phone users. All available logos can be called up at http://www.audi.de under the heading "Service". As well as the Audi rings, users can select the TT, allroad and quattro emblems as well as the symbols for the sporty Audi S models. Mobile phone users can have the Audi emblem and the other brand logos sent to their mobile phone by SMS (Short Message Service).

The Audi logo replaces the network operator's logo in the mobile phone display and can be changed at any time. This service is free of charge; anybody interested just has to complete a short online order form and will then receive the logo of his or her choice from Audi by SMS. This service can only be used in conjunction with a Nokia mobile phone. A list of suitable Nokia mobiles can also be found on the Audi homepage.

Audi is an international developer and manufacturer of high-quality cars. The company maintains production sites in Germany, Hungary, Brazil, China and South Africa. In 1999 Audi supplied around 635,000 cars and produced more than 1.2 million engines, bringing in sales revenues in excess of DM 29.6 billion. The Audi Group has around 47,000 employees.
