The 29-year-old Italian Christian Pescatori will share the cockpit of the number two Infineon Audi R8 with Laurent Aiello and Rinaldo Capello. Pescatori takes over the place of his compatriot Michele Alboreto who was fatally injured during testing in April. Last year´s winners Frank Biela, Tom Kristensen and Emanuele Pirro will drive the number one Infineon Audi R8. More outings in the BPR GT series followed and then in 1998 he switched to the Italian Touring Car series winning more races as he did so.A year later and he was back in sportscars with a Ferrari 333SP run by former team BMS Scuderia Italia. The combination of 'Pesca' the ex F1 team and team mate Emmanuele Moncini brought success at Enna Pergusa and the title was only lost at the final round.
