Lime Rock, Conn. -- Michael Galati, driving the number nine Champion Audi/Audi S4 Competition, won round four of the SCCA Pro Racing Speedvision GT series race at Lime Rock Park. Teammate Derek Bell, driving the number eight Legends of Motorsport/Audi S4 Competition, finished with a seasons best ninth place.

Following up on a second place qualifying effort, Michael Galati took the lead from the drop of the green flag and never looked back. Galati lead every lap around the 1.53- mile Lime Rock circuit, winning by a margin of over nine seconds and seting fastest race lap with a 1:00.227. With his second victory of the year, Galati is leading the Speedvision GT driver's championship.

Derek Bell finished a strong ninth after an eighth place qualifying effort. The Champion team performed a near miracle by changing the transmission in the Bell S4 in less than 60 minutes. Bell was forced to pit twice during the races only caution period to investigate a transmission issue. Rejoining the field in 22nd, the sporstcar legend was able to work his way through the field for his best finish of the season.

Quotes from Lime Rock:

Michael Galati, #9, Champion Audi/Audi S4 Competition: "I qualified second and had a great start to take the lead into turn one. I really was never pressured, but the traffic at Lime Rock can be tough. I just kept my head down and kept pushing, I didn't want to relax. It was a good race for the team, the guys worked hard rebuilding the cars after Mosport."

Derek Bell, #8, Legends of Motorsport/Audi S4 Competition: "I was running the old car and we looked really good in practice. I had a good start and made it up to fifth. The gear shift seemed slow, so I pitted under the yellow to bleed the clutch. I went back out to stay on the lead lap and came in again. I returned to the track in 22nd place. For the rest of the race I only had fourth through sixth gear and managed to make it to ninth."

Rod Bymaster, manager, Audi Sport North America: "The Champion guys deserve a big thanks for their effort over this past week. After suffering a large amount of damage at Mosport, the cars looked and performed excellent. Michael did a great job to dominate the race and Derek drove an excellent race in a back-up car to bring it home ninth."
