Special Race for Ara/Kristensen

Audi drivers Seiji Ara and Tom Kristensen will compete in a very special race: The Le Mans 1000 kilometres will be held for the first and only time on November 9. The race serves as a dress rehearsal for the all-new Le Mans Endurance Series (LMES) and as a qualification race for the Le Mans 24 Hours. Nine of the 42 teams will qualify for the race on 12/13 June 2004.

Among the entries is Japanese Audi customer team Goh which has entered an Audi A8 for Ara/Kristensen.

“There will be a lot of traffic on the small Circuit Bugatti,” expects Kristensen who has already won the Spa-Francorchamps 1000 km race together with Ara. “And I guess it won’t be very warm at Le Mans in November. I am really looking forward to this event and to do another race with the Audi R8.”
