New Watches
Under the "Audi Design" Brand
Source: Audi AG
The first model in the Audi design watch collection was
exhibited at the Geneva Motor Show one year ago - the Audi
design square chronograph. At the same venue, quattro GmbH
now unveils three new models of mechanical watches under the
"Audi design" brand, combining innovative design from the
Concept Design Studio Munich with sophisticated technology,
implemented by the specialist watchmaker Sinn Spezialuhren.
New additions to the Audi design watch collection are the
Audi design square, the Audi design circle chronograph and
the Audi design circle. All three watches have mechanical
Swiss movement with automatic winding and sapphire crystal
glass covers with a non-reflective finish on both sides. The
casings are made from high-grade stainless steel. The
designers selected cowhide tanned using vegetable tanning
agents for the straps. The Audi design circle chronograph is
optionally available with a metal strap. All Audi design
watches are watertight to a depth of 100 metres.
Whereas the Audi design square derives its inspiration from
the Audi design square chronograph, with its square casing
made from tegimented and therefore highly scratch-resistant
stainless steel as well as the nickel-free base, the casings
of the Audi design circle chronograph and Audi design circle
are round. The latter two feature a sapphire glass base that
affords a view of the mechanical inner workings of these
watches.
The watches can be ordered on www.audi.de/shop and will also
be available from specialist watch retailers in the first
half of this year.
