Audi Board Member Honored for Outstanding Social Commitment

Dr. h.c. Andreas Schleef, Member of the Board of Management of AUDI AG and Chairman of the Board of Management of SEAT, S.A., has been awarded the First Class Order of Merit (Cross of Merit) by the President of the Federal Republic of Germany.

Erwin Huber, Bavarian State Minister of Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology, presented the award personally to Dr. Schleef at a ceremony held at the Bavarian State Ministry in Munich.

In his speech, Mr. Huber stressed the fact that, besides his professional duties as Board Member of AUDI AG, Dr. Schleef was active in numerous honorary offices, associations and committees for the good of the general public.

Back in 1993, Dr. Schleef received the Cross of Merit on a Ribbon for his extensive commitment in the areas of industry and local politics.
