Audi has dominated the 24 Hours of Le Mans in recent years, but 2006 provides a special challenge. This year Audi will attempt to become the first automobile manufacturer ever to win the prestigious event with a diesel sportscar.

The new Audi R10 is powered by a V12 TDI engine producing almost 650 hp. It follows the Audi R8, which is the most successful Le Mans Prototype ever with 61 victories in 77 races to date.
