Audi of America Drives Hollywood's Elite During Oscar Week
Los Angeles, CA – There was another star in town Oscar week as Audi of America took center stage at some of the industry’s most high-profile events. With all eyes on Hollywood, nominees and winners alike were chauffeured through the Audi VIP fleet of more than 55 exclusively equipped A8L W12’s and Audi Q7’s. Audi also had the honor of sponsoring two private Miramax Films events celebrating the studio’s multiple nominations, as well as presence at events including the Costume Designers Guild Awards, Paramount Vantage Party, Fox Searchlight Party, Independent Spirit Awards and AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA) 7th annual “The Envelope Please” Oscar Viewing Party.
Complimenting the VIP fleet of vehicles in Los Angeles, Audi placed regional ad buys in markets including Los Angeles, New York, and Miami during the Oscar telecast. Running the popular Super Bowl ad that was inspired by the Oscar-winning film “The Godfather,” it was the first time the commercial had been seen on television since its premiere. Viewers also saw the debut of the commercial for the all-new A5 coupe, solidifying Audi's aggressive stance within the luxury market.
Some of Hollywood biggest stars selected Audi as their preferred mode of transportation for Oscar week including Penelope Cruz, Robert Downey, Jr., Sienna Miller, Vanessa Hudgens, Zac Efron, Allison Janney, Joel Coen, Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin, Josh Hartnett, Diane Lane, Ellen Page, Ethan Coen, Felicity Huffman, Ben Affleck, Daniel Day Lewis, Demi Moore, Casey Affleck, Helen Mirren, Hilary Swank, Christian Bale, Christina Applegate, Amy Ryan, Angelica Huston, Colin Firth, Diablo Cody, Frances McDormand, Geena Davis, Ginnifer Goodwin, Hal Holbrook, Jane Kaczmarek, Jason Reitman, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Kristin Chenoweth, Laura Linney, Matt Dillon, Mira Sorvino, and more.
Access Hollywood’s Maria Menounos spent Oscar week in a one-of-a-kind TDI Audi Q7. With 30% more fuel efficiency, the vehicle will not go into worldwide production until November of this year.
