Wong Email: GeneMan88@myvzw.com (Jan-02) Make & model of car the product was used on: 2000 A4 1.8tqtsx Product Description: Aluminum part which allows the stock shift lever to be fitted with an aftermarket shift knob. SPP has put some effort into making this a well designed product & it shows. Upon removal of the stock shift knob, I can see where a plastic part would fail over time. It was a simple install, though I must confess, I had to run out and buy a set of metric sized allen wrenches & fiddle a little with the original knob to figure out how it's removed. But with some patience, a MOMO shift knob is now in place of the stock one. The fit and finish looks great. I thought it would take a little getting used to, (to shift you must pull the knob up instead of depressing a thumb button) but it's as natural as stock. This mod will make the shift lever a little shorter in height, but I don't really notice the difference. This mod may not improve the performance level, but it will definitely make the interior a little more unique. |
