In the Audi 2000 Fall/Winter catalogue they had carpeted floor mats selling for $119, and Premium All-Weather Rubber Floor Mats for $70. When I bought my used TT it had 15K miles on it, and I couldn't help but notice that the carpeted floor mats were wearing on the driver's front side under the pedals.  When I bought my TT it was during the winter, so water as getting all over the floor and staining the grey mats.  I decided to buy the Premium All-Weather Rubber Floor Mats so I wouldn't have to worry about water getting all over the floor.  They were a great investment!  The Premium All-Weather Rubber Floor Mats are still in great shape, and they look good and have the TT logo on them.  Additionally, they have high grooved channels, so water rarely gets out of the matted area and onto the carpeted floorboard. They also catch a lot of the rocks and other debris. It's easy to take the mats out and dump the debris.  With the stock carpeted mats rocks and other debris always seemed to end up under the mat, and between the top mat, and the carpeted floorboard.  This causes wear to the carpet floorboard.  I noticed that in the 2002 Audi catalog that they lowered the price of the carpeted floor mats to $56, so at that price they are less than half of last year's mats, but I would still recommend spending the extra money to buy the Premium All-Weather Rubber Floor Mats.  To me the will last longer and are more functional that the carpeted floor mats.
