Make & model of car the product was used on: 98.5 A4 + about 5 other German & Japanese makes

Product Description:This is an excellent scratch remover/polishing compound. It is made by the same folks who bring you "Imperial Hand Glaze".

3M identifies it as to be used to remove fine scratch marks which exist after sanding paint with 1500 grit sandpaper, or to remove swirl marks which exist after compounding. I have used it largely to remove fine scratches in the paint finish caused by road grit, and to bring the paint back to a high luster before applying wax. You can use it with either a power buffer or else by hand. It is a white liquid, and applies similar to wax (rub in with one applicator, buff off with another clean rag). Difference is you keep buffing it even after it starts drying, only with lighter pressure.

3M says it is appropriate for solid and clearcoat colors. I have used it for both with equally good results. This includes present and previous Audis and Porsches.

A quart bottle is about $15. I might recommend trying some of the auto stores (largely locals) that cater to the professionals, rather than the major chains selling to average Joe Blows. That's where I found it.
