I was pleased how the 150HP motor worked stock but when i purchased this chip back in september of 98 this car is a beast! The car drives like stock when used like stock. When power is needed all you have to do is press on the "GO Pedal" and you can hear the K03 go "WHEEEEEEEE" untill 5,000 RPM.

The car is totaly diffrent when driven hard. The chip unleashes tons of power across the power band. The power starts to kick in at 2,000rpm untill 5,300rpm. After 5,300 the car tends to loose it's momentum to pull. Acceleration in 1st, 2nd, 3rd gear is a balst. Crusing in 4th gear and 5th gear is amazing too. In 5th gear going about 60mph you can step on the gas and you will be pushed back in your seat when accelerating, even in 4th gear this will work but with a greater effect.

Overall performance is superb! this is a gotta have it product.

Problems: only problems i have are pings during hot weather. when accelerating hard in 2nd to 3rd the car would ping 3-4 times. i had the chip upgraded 3 times. the first chip i had the car pinged 1-2 times which is not bad. with the second chip the car did not ping as much but it did ping every now and then. the third chip they installed is horrible it pings like pots and pans. i am currently runing the 3rd chip going to have them re-chip my car back to the second chip.

Advantages in power: from my first to second chip the power was improved. The 3rd chip seems to have more power than the previous 2 chips but it seems to ping alot more than the other 2 chips.

If i had to do it all over again i would forget about the Stage 2 and go directly to Stage 3 w/K04.
