Product Description: EBC Brakes, "Green Stuff" Brake pads for A4

Well going fast is one thing, stopping is the other ball game. Fortunately the factory brakes on the A4 seems to be some of the best I've driven.

Apparently, according to a few of the postings in the forums, the United States is the only ones that are subject to the dreaded "Black Soot on your wheels" disease.

After reading all the postings in the forums. I decided to try out EBC's "Green Stuff" brake pads. I have had great experience with EBC in my prior business of a motorcycle service shop. So I gave them a call and tried out a set of their brake pads. My car has about 34K miles, but almost all freeway, so the rotors were in good shape. I swapped out the pads front and rear. (I believe I have a way to push back the pistons in the rear calipers fairly easily, email me for how I did it.) Broke in the new pads as instructed and the braking is slightly stronger than the original ones. No squeaks or noise as of yet. And the dreaded "Black Soot on your wheels"? Let's just say, "ain't seen none yet".

Overall a great $100 investment, even if it was for the brake dust originally. One thumbs up! You can check out EBC here: EBC Brakes

Nothing bothers me more than to have a brand new car with filthy black wheels by the time you get it home! So with less than 200 miles on my white 2003 225Q I installed the EBC green stuff pads. WOW!!! No more brake dust and the bite is stronger than stock. This was an extremely good investment for the car. Furthermore, by doing it when it was "new" the inside of the wheels are spotless too!!!
