It's been several months since installing my SS and I must say this is a very worthwhile mod! It was purchased at ECS Tuning (www.ecstuning.com). I chose the B & M due to the flexibility of the product (all parts required are included for it to fit the A4, S4 & A6 cars with either push down or non-push down gear boxes AND it adjusts between a 11%, 25% and 35% reduction for the A4). Although it comes with an aluminum knob, you may continue to use the stock knob. After installing it with a 11% reduction, I noticed the following: the knob position was slightly lower, the throws were much more precise and the rowing was virtually gone - this is the way the car should come from the factory IMO. I have since adjusted the throw to a 25% reduction and it is fabulous! With a significant reduction in throw, there's no noticeable increase in effort required to shift and the shifts are smooth and precise! Next stop ... 35% reduction.

I bought this product because of the adjustability and the claimed reduction in "max" mode.

I must say I love it. I installed it myself. Relatively easy except my hands are too big to work in that small space, (A little cursing was involved.) And I measured before and after and I came up with 36% reduction -- better than claimed.

And the shifting... incredible difference
