Eibach springs & Bilstein shocks By: Angel Paredes Email: paco@microdsi.net (Mar-00) Make & model of car the product was used on: '97 A4 1.8TQ Before I get started I think it will be useful to know that my perspective is from the point of view of a 36 yr old. As I believe tastes change depending on age. Also important to note is that I live in NE Jerseey so I have my share of bad roads and this is my daily driver for about a 70 mile roundtrip every day. Now, on to the good stuff.. I picked the springs and shocks used from a guy that had them on his car for approx. 15,000 miles so I save myself a decent amount of cash, in case I didn't like the setup. Glad to report this was not the case. So, far I've had them on about 2 weeks and I'm very satisfied. The car looks much better with out that fender gap and overall the ride is much more connected to the road, without being harsh. BTW, the guy I bought from had 18in wheels on the car and he said he still loved the ride. The suspension response is also much quicker and just plain makes it a lot more fun to drive. This past weekend I even ventured in for a quick ride into NYC and the setup performed equally well. I would say this is one of the best bang for the buck upgardes i've made on any car. Can't wait to do the chip. Finally, I did the install myself. Definitely time consuming and will take you a day's worth of work. Rears are easier than the fronts. |
