I always felt after receiving my new 17' Ronal R-28's on my A4, that it really needed to be lowered, even more then the factory sport package had already done, to decrease the wheel gap. After receiving recommendations on the forum, I ordered the Eibach Pro-kit springs from shox.com. After having to return the first set based on the fact that they were for the quattro, I proceeded to get the springs installed. I paid $325 for installation with an alignment. After getting the car back and looking it over, I was disappointed. It did not look that much lower, and the back was much higher then the front. The car also rode very rough I thought. I never complained about the handling improvement. I also found out, that after having the springs on my car for a week or so, that the car lowered out, and evened out. I also found the car to ride smoother, never perfectly smooth, but just the way I wanted it to. The ride lets you feel every bump, but is not annoying.

I strongly recommend these springs to anyone looking for a improvement in appearance or to improve handling.

Four thumbs up.  This suspension setup FAR exceeded my expectations.  I really thought that it was just going to stiffen up the ride, but in reality, it did much, much more.

There is practically no squat during hard acceleration, and same with brake dive.  Turn in is sharpened tremendously, and turning is flat as a pancake.  My car now handles like a beast :)  Exit ramps are so fun, as they can be taken at great speed without the worry of sliding out or losing traction (Quattro helps a little!).  All of the performance enhancements make it worth every penny, not to mention how much better the car looks.

It is nice and low, but not too low as to hinder driving in bumpy Baltimore City.  I didn't measure before and after, but I'm pretty sure my car went down close to 2 inches in the front, a little less in the rear because I set the rears one notch up from the lowest setting (about a centimeter higher).  The car looks and handles great.

I thought it would be a lot harsher on bumps, but the Bilsteins do a great job of absorbing every little bump (not bouncing me off of them like before).  To anyone interested in this setup, you will not be
disappointed.  Enough from me...

...GO BUY 'EM!!!
