ATP Flash Sport Wheel

Make & model of car the product was used on: 2001 S4

The ATP Flash Sport is light alloy sport wheel available in sizes 16" -18" and is one of the few that fit the S4 with it's large front brake calipers.

After spending hours researching various wheel brands and styles on the internet I went to my local tire dealer whom I have used previously to finalize my decision and order my new wheels. I narrowed my decision to several of the basic 5 spoke designs I liked, only to find that not one of them would fit my car!

Two things factor into this from what they explained, the bolt hole size, offset, but primarily the caliper clearance of the front brakes. My choices were now narrowed to the BBS RK (nice rim, popular on BMW's here, also $500+ per wheel) the ATP Riva and the ATP Flash Sport. The Flash Sport immediately caught my eye due to the dark grey finish and polished lip which looks sporty and classy at the same time.

The Flash Sport incorporates a unique look and also adds the practicality of effectively hiding brake dust, BUT it looks a bit too monochromatic/bland in the pictures. Do not be fooled, in person these are some of the best looking wheels I have ever seen! They have a magnificent look without being too radical (not the lowered Honda look at all) , a side benefit is that you will not see them on many other cars and best of all they can be purchased for around $249 each.

I opted for the 17 x 8 rims, which allow for 235 tires in the future, although I am planning on riding my stock 225/45 Pirellis out.

The finish is first rate, and quality appears to be so as well. The only negative point is that in the 8" rim with, they stick out farther than the stock rims, increasing rain splatter and possibly rock chips. However I have driven approx 1000 miles and have noted no paint damage. If interested, I can send pictures of them on my car. Wheels are a big investment, and it's great when they look better on your car than in a picture!
