Cargo Net for the Trunk Steve Sherwood 1999

There are several cargo nets that fit the A4 sedan. The price ranges from a low of about $25 to a high of about $99. For a short period of time in 98 A4 Sedans actually came with original equipment cargo nets, but then that free option was stopped. The following cargo nets are currently used by some A4 owners:

1) Mercedes Cargo Net (part #Q-6-75-0015) - cost about $25 note: has black elastic material throughout net and has no cinching device. Some state that it is too large and does not adequately keep items from moving in the trunk.

2) Audi Cargo Net (part #8A9-065-110) - cost varies from $60-80 note: it is made of loose fitting black twine material. It is larger in size than Jeep Cargo Net. Some have commented that it is too large and cannot adequately cinch down on items under the netting material. It does contain a cinching device.

3) Jeep Grand Cherokee Cargo Net (part #82201486) - cost about $53 note: it is constructed of black twine material and includes a cinching device to tighten down on enclosures. It is smaller and includes clips that attach to receiving hooks in floor of trunk.

4) LLtek Cargo Net Set (part #04.012.004.05) - cost about $99. LLtek provides not only the trunk cargo net, but two additional nets as well. The first attaches to the underside of the trunk lid, providing lightweight eye level storage when the trunk lid is opened. The other attaches to the passenger side of the transmission tunnel providing a flexible interior storage area for maps, glove, and other miscellaneous items. All necessary hardware is also included. One note: the trunk cargo net does not have a cinching device, so it is similar to the OEM Audi and Mercedes net in that respect.

At last report, the A4 Avant came equipped from the factory with cargo nets.
