Personnel changes at Audi Design

Wolfgang Egger (50), Head of Design at Audi since May 2007, is to move to the Audi subsidiary Italdesign Giugiaro S.p.A. as Styling Director with effect as of February 1, 2014. His successor at Audi will be Marc Lichte (44), who is currently in charge of Exterior Design for the Volkswagen brand.

At the world premiere of the new Audi R18 e-tron quattro, Audi unveiled another technical highlight of its new LMP1 sports car in Ingolstadt on Wednesday night. In 2014, the brand with the four rings will be running with laser light for the first time in the Le Mans 24 Hours and in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).

AUDI AG: More than 1.5 million automobiles delivered to customers

A special moment for the brand with the four rings: Today, the 1.5 millionth Audi since the beginning of the year was handed over to its owner at the Audi Forum Ingolstadt. This means that AUDI AG has achieved its sales target, set for 2015, two years earlier than planned. Rupert Stadler, Chairman of the Board of Management of AUDI AG, and sales chief Luca de Meo personally handed a customer from Germany the keys to the anniversary vehicle: an Audi A3 Sportback.
